Below are pictures and descriptions of my Mattel Barbie dolls and miscellaneous fashion dolls. Some of the other dolls are from other countries, or are novelty-type dolls.

1996 Mattel Limited Edition - Barbie as Dans le Role de Als Empress-Kaiserin Sissy Impératrice – #15846 - A Limited Edition Barbie® doll, inspired by Empress Sissy of Austria's Habsburg-Lothringen Dynasty. Her costume, which is a replica of her original outfit worn at the time of Coronation, when she already had married Emperor Francis Xavier of Austria, was recreated from a 19th century painting and features a fitted satin bodice, decorated with sequins and beads and lavish golden braid. The back of her gown is hand sewn with tiny "faux pearl" buttons. From her lace trimmed pantaloons and shoes, to her delicate fan, to her dark braided hair accented with rhinestones, she's every bit an Empress. She retailed for $150.00 in Toys-R-Us.

1997 Mattel Member’s Choice Collection – Grand Premiere Barbie - #16498 - The charter doll in the Members' Choice™ Collection for The Official Barbie® Collector's Club members. Grand Premiere® Barbie® doll is a vision of pink splendor in this fabulous ensemble. Sophisticated and elegant, Barbie® doll wears a long velvety black gown with a pink wrap-around train. Black marabou feathers accent the collar. Tiny faux pearls adorn Barbie® doll's earrings, and two-strand bracelet. To complement this incredible ensemble, Barbie® wears her long blond hair in a stylish updo, accented with a black hair band. A "Member’s Choice/First Edition" hang tag is on the doll’s left wrist, and she has painted red fingernails.
1996 Mattel Limited Edition – Escada Barbie - #15948 - It is high fashion, high drama and another first for Barbie® doll as she wears a reproduction of an original Escada design from European Designer House of Escada’s Brian Rennie. Her exquisite European design features a fitted, black velvet bodice, surrounded by layers of pink silk shantung that creates a graceful cascade of fabric around this radiant Barbie®. The result is a stunning doll and a spellbinding example of haute couture. Escada Barbie® doll features long, rooted eyelashes, a stunning silk stole, long beaded earrings and ultimate glamour.

1996 Mattel Collector Edition – Barbie and Ken 30th Anniversary Star Trek Gift Set - #15006 - Join Barbie® and Ken for a special mission aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise™ in this tribute to the original Star Trek series. Barbie® doll is an Engineering Officer in her short, red uniform with black trim. She wears an authentic insignia and carries a Tricorder™ and a Communicator. Ken® doll wears a gold jersey and insignia indicating he is a Command Officer. He carries a Phaser™ and Communicator. The dolls are displayed in a fun, commemorative package along with photos of Captain James T. Kirk™ and First Officer Spock™.

1994 Mattel Limited Edition – 35th Anniversary Barbie Gift Set - #11591 - This charming gift set comes with a reproduction of the 1959 #1 Ponytail Barbie® doll, as well as reproductions of the 1959 Easter Parade and Roman Holiday fashions. The detailing and accessories on these reproductions are incredible, and will surely evoke the nostalgia of childhood in many adult collectors!

1998 Mattel Collector Edition – Silken Flame Barbie - #18448 - This Collector Edition doll reproduces two 1960s originals: Red Flare, which includes a coat, hat, handbag, gloves and shoes, and Silken Flame®, that features a dress with belt. Together, they give Barbie® a wonderful vintage look. A swirl of red over a shimmer of white, two favorite fashions take a combined approach to Barbie® doll beauty. Dramatic and superbly sophisticated, Barbie® doll steps out in an ensemble that is classic sixties. 1999 Mattel Classic Edition – I Love Lucy® Starring Lucille Ball as Lucy Ricardo in Job Switching™ - #21268 - Second in a series featuring Lucille Ball as Lucy Ricardo in the popular I Love Lucy Show, this doll is an authentic reproduction of Lucy in the episode, Job Switching -- arguably among the funniest and best-remembered Lucy shows. Who can forget the chaotic hilarity as Lucy and Ethel work on a candy production line? Lucy's authentic uniform from the chocolate factory is a short-sleeved, light gray dress with tailored waist and pink trim collar and cuffs. A matching light pink chef's hat covers Lucy's curly red hair, and a double-strand faux pearl necklace and matching stud earrings adorn her expressive face. The doll features different sculpting from the first Lucy doll -- big blue eyes, rooted eyelashes, painted red fingernails, and, of course, that inimitable Lucy expression. 1998 Mattel Collector Edition - Lucille Ball as Lucy Ricardo - #17645 - Here is the first collectible Lucy doll created by Mattel to authentically reproduce the famous episode where "Lucy Does a TV Commercial." The doll's lifelike appearance and smiling face will evoke nostalgic memories of Lucy's hysterical performance attempting to sell Vitameatavegamin. Lucy is dressed in an amazingly accurate re-creation of the black and white "hound’s-tooth" ensemble she wore to do her commercial and even holds a "bottle" of the "powerful cure-all" Vitameatavegamin and a spoon for "tasting." This episode (#30) originally aired in 1956.

2000 Mattel Timeless Treasures - Lucy's Italian Movie™ - #25527 - Third in a series featuring Lucille Ball as Lucy Ricardo in the classic "I Love Lucy"® show, this authentic reproduction features Lucy in the hilarious episode in which she stomps grapes in an Italian vineyard. Lucy is dressed in a white peasant blouse, purple skirt and vine-patterned hair scarf. In her hand, she holds molded grapes. Accessories include "grape" earrings, a black belt and black shoes. This was Episode #150.

1997 Mattel Collector Edition – Country Rose Barbie - #17782 - The premiere doll from the Grand Ole Opry™ Collection, Country Rose™ Barbie® doll displays the style and glamour that made the Opry™ famous. Her stunning red satin ensemble is highlighted by black "suede" yolk and cuffs edged in golden trim. Beautiful embroidered roses, a white chiffon scarf and dazzling rhinestone accents add an elegant touch to her western outfit. From her rooted eyelashes and clear blue eyes, to her "suede" western hat, Barbie® is simply show-stopping. She even has her own guitar.

1998 Mattel Collector Edition – Rising Star Barbie - #17864 - Barbie® doll has always been a star and now she has the award to prove it. Rising Star™ Barbie® doll returns to the Opry™ stage to sing her smash country hit, "Our Love" and to receive her "gold" award. She embodies all the glamour the Opry™ is famous for in her royal blue gown gleaming with crystals, silvery embroidery and fringe. From the silvery lamé lining of her skirt to her luxurious red hair, she captures the spirit and style of the Grand Ole Opry®. She even comes with a reproduction of an Opry microphone stand and an actual CD single you can play of her hit song, "Our Love." Second in the Grand Ole Opry™ Collection.

1999 Mattel Collector Edition - Barbie® & Kenny™ Country Duet™ Set - #23498 - Barbie® and Kenny™ dolls join their voices in song for the first time ever as they sing a duet on the Grand Ole Opry® stage! Country music's latest stars will no doubt pack the house as they kick off their nationwide country tour. Barbie® is sensationally dressed for her performance in a stunning iridescent teal pantsuit underneath a jacket traced with black and golden flowers and a single rhinestone button that catches the light. A soft black velvety collar and chiffon ruffles frame her lovely smiling face as she sings with Kenny, dressed in his black western style jacket and faux leather pants. Third in the Grand Ole Opry™ Collection.
1998 Mattel Limited Edition - Ken® and Barbie® as Romeo & Juliet - #19364 -
William Shakespeare's tale of Romeo and Juliet is one of the world's most treasured stories of young love. Who better to capture the beauty and poignancy of youth and true love than Barbie® and Ken®. Their clothes are beautifully fashioned to capture the intricacy and richness of the fashions of the 16th century. As Juliet, Barbie® wears a high-waisted velvet gown with beautiful golden trim and a dramatic chapel train that falls from her shoulders. Her sleeves are elegantly finished with lace and puffed at the top. Her brunette hair is richly braided with golden trim. As Romeo, her young idealistic lover, Ken doll wears a blue velvety tunic with silvery sleeveless jacket, a "jeweled" chain befitting his family's stature and a blue velvety hat. 1999 Mattel Limited Edition - Ken® and Barbie® as Camelot's King & Queen, Arthur and Guinevere - #23880 - Inspired by the romance and passion of Camelot, Ken® and Barbie® dolls are featured as a couple that legends are made of - King Arthur and Guinevere. Barbie® as Guinevere is spellbinding in her full-length slate-blue medieval-style gown featuring long, flowing sleeves and crimson and metallic golden accents. A headpiece of delicate burgundy and golden netting with faux pearls adorns her cascading strawberry blonde hair. Dressed as King Arthur, Ken is clad in a crimson cape and matching velvet tunic with an embroidered lion's crest. A suit of golden "armor" -- including gauntlets and greaves -- and a realistic "sword" on his "leather" belt offer an authentic glimpse of the medieval warrior. 1997 Mattel Special Edition – University Barbie – Texas - #17792 - 1996 University of Texas Longhorns Cheerleader Barbie Doll. She is dressed in an orange and white cheerleader uniform with "Texas" and a "longhorn" featured on the front. Her hair is blond in a long pony tail. She is holding orange and white pom-poms. She wears white tennis shows and white socks trimmed in orange.

1999 Mattel Special Edition – NBA Rockets Barbie - #20700 - Barbie is wearing an authentic officially licensed HOUSTON ROCKETS uniform and jacket, as well as having a basketball to pose with.

1992 Mattel Special Edition – Kraft Treasures Barbie - This is a special edition Barbie from the Kraft Company in conjunction with Mattel. You had to save proofs from Macaroni and Cheese to get her. She has been taken out of the box, but never removed from the package. She has on blue pants, a print top in red, blue, yellow and white that includes the "Cheesasaurus Rex" logo on the front, a red vest and a blue hat with the Kraft logo on the front of it. She has red plastic earrings in her ears and includes her red sneakers and a red comb. Her arms are bent at the elbows, and she has a "twist and turn" style waist.

1996 Mattel Collector Edition – Civil War Nurse Barbie - #14612 - Travel to the battle at Gettysburg in 1863 as Barbie® tends the wounded soldiers in her nurse's uniform. She's pure inspiration in her blue and white striped dress, crisp white apron and cape coat draped across her shoulders. She even comes ready for action with her own medical bag. From the American Stories Series™, this beautiful Barbie® doll even comes with her own storybook entitled ‘Helpful Heart’ that teaches about life during Civil War times. Feel her compassion for the men who gave their lives fighting for what they believe. Be there as she is honored for her courageous profession.

1995 Mattel Special Edition – Happy Holidays Gala International Barbie - #13545 - Very hard to find in the U.S., this doll was popular in many different European countries. The box has five different languages on it. Barbie, stunning as a holiday hostess, has blond hair and a red, white and green dress.

2001 Mattel Pink Box – Movie Star Barbie - #25466 - Barbie is a movie star with her purple dress with silver accents, silver lamé jacket, glitter gel, sunglasses, shoes and hairbrush.

1997 Mattel Special Edition Walmart 35th Anniversary Barbie - #17245 - Sam Walton opened the first Walmart store in 1962, and Mattel made this Barbie in 1997 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of that first store. Barbie has long blond hair, pink & silver gown, with a silver ribbon that is tied in a bow. Silver beaded necklace, silver dangling earrings, and matching silver ring. She also comes with shoes and a hairbrush. On the back of the box, there's a picture of Sam Walton, along with a descriptive history of Walmart.

1997 Mattel Pink Box – Talk With Me Barbie - #17350 - Doll and CD Rom combination by Mattel Media. You can program the doll to talk and interact with people, using a PC. Her mouth really moves! Compatible with Windows 95 and Windows 3.1. Set comes with doll, computer station for her to sit at, and CD Rom. You choose who she talks to, what to talk about and what to do, plus fun activities. Barbie has on a darling hot pink jumpsuit with a gold jacket. Retailed at $99.00 at stores such as Toys-R-Us.

1995 Mattel Pink Box – Super Talk Barbie - #12290 - Special technology allows Barbie to mix 'n match words and phrases so she can say over 100,000 things. “Lots to say for endless ways to play“. This is a blond Barbie with blue eyes wearing a cute retro-80's/early-90's faux-denim jacket and hat with gold-colored detailing. Accessories included; skirt, body suit, earrings, hand ring, hair brush, hat, jacket, and boots. Easy to access rear button works, and at this time (2005) she currently works! Words and phrases are clear.

1993 Mattel Pink Box – Earring Magic Ken - #2290 - This Ken doll was controversial in 1992 when it came out. Many parents across America felt Ken wearing an earring represented the Gay community. These Parents didn't want this influence on their children. Mattel, soon after this doll was put on the shelves of toys stores, had this doll removed to satisfy the parents. Ken comes with an earring in his ear, a necklace, purple mesh shirt, purple vest, blue pants with pink trim, shoes, and two real clip on earrings that a child can wear. Earrings read “Barbie/ Ken”.

1991 Judith Corporation – Judith, The Mommy-To-Be Doll – 61205 - Pregnant Judith with a baby in her stomach. Judith was Europe's Doll of the Year for 1991, her stomach retracts back to flat after the baby is born. Tiny baby included. The baby has red hair. Also comes with a baby sling carrier for Judith to carry the baby “hands free”.

1991 Judith Corporation – Charlie, The Father-To-Be Doll – 61205 - Charlie is dressed and ready to take Judith to the hospital for the birth of their baby!

1992 Street Players Collector Edition – Dennis Rodman’s Wedding Day - #72005 - The "Wedding Day" doll captures Rodman in his wedding gown complete with tattooed arms and lipstick...a truly original and wild-looking doll.

1999 Arsenic & Apple Pie – Trailer Trash Doll - "My Daddy says I'm the best kisser in the county." A First Edition, the doll looks like a hillbilly; wearing a red plaid shirt, cut off denim shorts, cigarette in mouth with blacked out teeth, holding a pig in her arms, bad blonde dye job in her hair, and red cowboy boots to match!! A very funny doll! A must have for the humorous collector. Made in 1999 and hard to find. Comes complete with her pig. Made by Arsenic & Apple Pie in San Francisco. "WARNING: Contains small parts and extreme sarcasm. Not recommended for children under 18".

1990 Ringling Bros., Barnum & Bailey – Ringling Stars Angelina – Awesome Aerialist - All eyes gaze skyward as Angelina pirouettes and plunges, spins and somersaults. High above the Hippodrome, she bravely and boldly streaks across the darkened sky like a radiant comet. She is dazzling – a blur of motion – in her hot pink and silver costume with matching boots. This doll is hard to find!

1996 Giocheria – Alitalia Airlines Tanya Hostess – Alitanya - This is a stewardess doll representing Italy’s Alitalia Airlines. She’s wearing the official stewardess uniform, and carries her “leather” shoulder bag. Very hard to find.

1995 Mattel Special Edition – Gardaland Barbie - #14650 - 1995 Gardaland Barbie is exclusive to Italy's Gardaland amusement park. She wears a black top with satiny pink striped jacket with black cuffs, matching skirt, golden star-shaped earrings and pink gym shoes. She is packaged with a 4,000 lire coupon toward park admission. The back of the package is written in Italian. Hard to find.
